Investment Summary
Prior to Riverside’s investment, MaxVision had a diverse shareholder base with different objectives. Many of the passive shareholders desired complete liquidity while the founder, Bruce Imsand, was focused on partial liquidity and a strategic partner who could help him grow his business. Riverside was able to customize a transaction that met the needs of all of the shareholders, while also positioning the company for continued growth by bringing additional technology, marketing and defense expertise to the company.
MaxVision is a perfect fit with Riverside’s thematic focus on companies that are using available technology to custom engineer complex solutions for high growth applications. MaxVision’s heritage of solving the problems that were previous impediments to extreme mobile computing have allowed the company to grow rapidly and gain strong market share in the defense, industrial and HD video sectors.
